Summer 2020 activities

We are really excited to announce #POPUPSWITCH will be delivering FREE activities from WV1 Studio in the City centre this summer. It’ll be a fantastic opportunity to deliver our workshops from a new location and WV1 Studio provides a safe, secure location where we can provide our very own brand of support that focuses on the social and emotional wellbeing of children and young people.

The activities are being delivered on behalf of Wolverhampton Safer Partnerships and West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner to provide targeted activities over the holidays that aim to reduce the risk of vulnerability and being drawn into youth violence and exploitation – in particular for those transitioning between primary and secondary school.

We will be offering a series of workshops for primary and secondary school pupils (aged 10-13 years old) from Heath Town/New Park Village, Bilston, Penn Fields/Graiseley, Eastfield/East Park and Whitmore Reans. Each week sessions will use the creative arts, such as music and video production, to help participants in both their educational and personal lives, giving them the ability to recognise and respond to their own emotions, form effective peer and adult relationships and to build confidence and self-esteem.

Sessions will run 10am – 2pm from WV1 Studio (22 Cleveland Street, WV1 3HR) on:

Week one: 3rd August / 5th August / 6th August / 7th August

Week two: 10th August / 11th August / 13th August / 14th August

Week three: 17th August/ 18th August /19th August / 20th August / 21st August

Week four: 24th August / 25th August / 26th August
